Product Overview
Sugarcane jaggery is everywhere. Date Palm Jaggery is not. It comes from the sap of organic jaggery export from india Phoenix sylvestris, the wild date palm that grows in West Bengal and Bihar, and the people who make it still tap the trees by hand during the cooler months, boil the sap down in open pans, and pour it into solid blocks to set. No factory. No additives. The dark colour and that deep, almost smoky sweetness you get are just what happens when date palm sap concentrates. You cannot replicate it with anything else.
A few things worth knowing before you enquire:
- The flavour is genuinely different: Rich, caramel, slightly earthy. Buyers who have tried it tend not to go back to sugarcane jaggery for premium applications.
- Nothing added: No bleaching agents, no preservatives, no colouring. The product is sap and heat, full stop.
- Solid block form: Ships as firm blocks that hold shape through transit. Shelf life is 12 months with normal cool, dry storage.
- Documentation handled in-house: FSSAI, APEDA, Organic, and Halal certification ready for every shipment, prepared by our team, not outsourced.
We work directly with small-batch producers in West Bengal who have been doing this the same way for generations. As established jaggery exporters from India, we know which producers deliver consistent block quality and which ones cut corners in a bad harvest year. That kind of sourcing relationship takes time to build, and it shows up in the Date Palm Jaggery we ship.
