Sorghum and millets never really went away — they just got pushed aside when cheap refined grains took over. Now they are back, and buyers across Europe, North America, and the Middle East are actively looking for them. Not as a trend. As a response to a real shift in how people think about food — less refined, more nutritious, grown without the industrial inputs that come with wheat and corn.

India grows more sorghum and millets than almost anywhere else. Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Karnataka between them produce the bulk of what we source — pearl millet, finger millet, foxtail millet, and sorghum, each with its own flavour profile and nutritional composition. A few things worth knowing upfront:

• Gluten-free by nature: All millets and sorghum are naturally gluten-free, which drives demand from coeliac and gluten-intolerant consumer segments in Western markets.
• High nutritional value: Finger millet has more calcium than milk per 100g. Pearl millet leads on iron content. Sorghum is one of the highest-fibre grains in regular trade.
• Low water crop: Both crops grow in dryland conditions with minimal irrigation — increasingly relevant for buyers who care about their supply chain's environmental footprint.
• Export-ready: FSSAI, APEDA, Organic, and Halal certifications in place. Full documentation prepared in-house for every shipment.
